Day 1: Douz – Jebil National Park – Mount Tembaine
Morning Off-Road Departure
Our expedition starts in Douz, where you meet your professional desert crew and board equipped 4×4 vehicles. First, we leave the city behind and enter Jebil National Park via desert tracks. Meanwhile, you can enjoy a traditional tea break amidst the dunes.
Afternoon at Mount Tembaine
Later in the afternoon, we reach Mount Tembaine. Because this mountain sits high above the dunes, hiking up the plateau offers a stunning 360-degree view.
In addition, you will witness an unforgettable Saharan sunset. Finally, we set up our wild bivouac camp at the foot of the mountain for a freshly prepared Bedouin dinner under the stars.
Day 2: Mount Tembaine to Hwidhat Erreched Desert Expedition
Morning Dune Crossing
After a Saharan sunrise breakfast, the real off-road adventure begins. Our expert drivers navigate technical dune waves (djedars) and valley corridors (gassi). Although the terrain is challenging, our crew ensures a safe and exhilarating ride deep into the Grand Erg Oriental.
Afternoon Oasis Arrival
By afternoon, the stunning oasis of Lake Hwidhat Erreched appears. This natural hot spring is completely enclosed by high sand dunes.
Therefore, you can take an immediate relaxing swim in the 38°C mineral-rich waters. As night falls, enjoy a fireside dinner and sleep in an authentic desert camp by the lake.
Day 3: Lake Hwidhat Erreched – Relaxation & Stargazing
Morning Thermal Baths & Activities
Spend a full day immersed in the magic of Hwidhat Erreched. First, enjoy a morning bath in the thermal springs. Furthermore, you can explore the surrounding dune fields on foot or try sandboarding down the steep slopes.
Evening Campfire & Stargazing

Day 4: Lake Hwidhat Erreched – Ksar Ghilane Oasis – Douz

Final Exploration & Return to Douz
Additionally, we stop for lunch near the oasis and visit the ancient Roman fort of Tisavar. Afterward, we enjoy a smooth drive back to Douz, arriving in the late afternoon with unforgettable Saharan memories.
